After a hearty breakfast, the day second is fully planned for a sightseeing tour of Munnar. It rises as three mountain streams merge – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala, 1600 m above sea level. Munnar was once the summer retreat of the erstwhile British government in South India. It is one of the most sought-after honeymoon destinations in Kerala, being replete with lots of natural beauty and architectural wonders.
While on the Munnar sightseeing tour, embark on a visit to Anamudi, the highest peak of South India at 2965 m which is visible from Munnar. Next, visit the Christ Church and then proceed to wildlife watching at Eravikulam National Park. Amongst, the major attractions near Munnar is Eravikulam National Park famous for its endangered inhabitants – the Nilgiri Tahr. Sprawling over an area of about 97 Sq km, this national park is also home to several species of animals and birds. After spending a great day, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.
