Yamunotri and Gangotri Yatra is a religious journey to the origin of two holy rivers of India namely Yamuna and Ganga. This 5-day tour of New Delhi will see you visit the beautiful Himalayan valleys, sacred temples, and tranquil sceneries.

You start with the Ganga Aarti of Haridwar and Har ki Pauri and this makes the start of the journey to be of divine nature. On that, you go to Barkot, the camp of Yamunotri Temple, where you get a holy dip in Surya Kund hot spring. Then you come to Gangotri Temple which is the source of the River Ganga, and it is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and soothing pine forests. Itinerary

This Yamunotri & Gangotri Yatra Package trip starts in Delhi and goes to Haridwar. Have picturesque views on the route. Check-in the hotel and visit the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in the evening. It is a spiritual experience to see thousands of diyas floating on the river with chants. Go back to the hotel and have dinner and stay. Haridwar is among the seven sacrosanct cities in India and a starting point to the Char Dham Yatra. The calmness of the air quite on the holy Ganga gives a feeling of tranquility and holiness in your heart and it is the right way to begin the spiritual journey.

 

Breakfast and then drive to Barkot, the Yamunotri base. You can visit Mussoorie or Kempty Falls on the way sightseeing and taking photographs. Valleys and snow-capped mountains are lush green in Barkot. Get into your hotel, dine and be ready to visit Yamunotri the next day. Barkot is a lovely hill town, which is located in the Garhwal Himalayas and is one of the base of Yamunotri. Begin early on the Yamunotri trek at Janki Chatti. There is about 6km walk, pony ride or palki. Offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna and make a holy dip at the Surya Kund hot spring which is said to cleanse sins and bring blessings at Yamunotri Temple. Gangotri, the birth place of the sacred River Ganga, is extremely important religiously. Breakfast, then drive back to Haridwar, the scenic drive. In case of time, sightseeing in the local places or a brief rest in Haridwar. Keep on going to Delhi and end your Yamunotri and Gangotri Yatra with beautiful memories of divine darshan, beautiful valleys, and spiritual experiences.
