Itinerary

Reach Haridwar and get into a hotel. The day is then maintained and easy to rest after a long journey. You can take a shower and go around the local markets in the evening. Thereafter, go to the quiet Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. The diyas floating on the river give the impression of divineness. Following the aarti, back to the hotel, dine and retire to sleep.  

 

Breakfast, and start off on the road to Barkot. The road runs through hills, forests and small mountain towns. You will have the fresh air and the Himalayan picturesque sights all through the day. Breaks of tea and rest are made. Arrive at Barkot and stay at the hotel and rest. Get your body ready for the Yamunotri trek that will take place on the following day.  

 

Early mornings drive to Janki Chatti which is the base of the trek to Yamunotri. At this point, start walking. One can hire pony and palki services when they require it. Take blessings at the temple and go to the hot water springs of Surya Kund. The spiritual experience is added with the peaceful mountain environment. Darshan, trek back to Barkot and have dinner and rest.  

 

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. The highway passes through the Bhagirathi River with gorgeous views of the valley. Once you have checked in at the hotel, you can go to local temples and stroll along the riverside. Pilgrims can rest in the peaceful setting before another visit to dham.   

 

Break early and go off to Gangotri. The scenery is mountainous and has streamlets. On arrival at Gangotri, go to a temple and pray over the source of River Ganga. The pilgrims tend to meditate beside the river. The darshan is completed, and then proceed to Uttarkashi and have dinner and take rest.  

 

This is a long and beautiful drive to Guptkashi. The path is taken in between steep mountains, deep valleys, and meeting places of holy rivers. Arrive and be checked in the hotel and rest. Providing time available, go to local temples. Wake up early to get ready for the Kedarnath journey.  

 

Move to Sonprayag, and go to Gaurikund. And start the journey to Kedarnath. The pilgrimage is spiritually enriching, with snow mountains and chants of the devotees. After arriving at the temple, attend evening aarti and have divine peace. Spend the night around the temple.  

 

Early in the morning,  go to Kedarnath Temple. The initial mood is serene and highly spiritual. Prayers are followed by trekking back into Gaurikund and driving to Guptkashi. Book into the hotel and rest your body after the tedious walk.  

 

Following breakfast, set off on the journey to Badrinath through Joshimath. The road has hypnotizing Himalayan scenes. Upon arrival, one should take a holy bath at Tapt Kund and visit the temple. Visit evening aarti, where possible. Badrinath Dinner and overnight.  

 

Darshan in the morning at the temple. Return journey to start after breakfast. Movement to Rudraprayag, with the sight of river confluences and mountain tracks. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and spend the evening.  

 

Have breakfast and then resume the road trip to Rishikesh. The scenic beauty is different as provided by the descending mountain roads. Upon arrival, visit the local ashrams, riverbanks and markets. You can go to Ganga Aarti in the evening. Overnight and Dinner Rishikesh.  

 

Departure after Breakfast at Haridwar. The Char Dham Yatra by Road is completed with sweet spiritual recollections, serene experiences and divinity blessings of all the four dhams. After completing the holy Himalayan circuit, pilgrims are back to their homes spiritually rejuvenated and mentally relaxed.
