Early after breakfast, set out to Dwarka, a very long and very picturesque journey across the very heart of Gujarat. Breakfast then leaves for Somnath along the picturesque coastal road of Gujarat. On the way, visit the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi at Porbandar. Pay your visit to the small but significant memorial of his life and values Kirti Mandir. Go on to Somnath, and reach it this afternoon. Following the rest and check-in at the hotel, see the great Somnath Temple, which stands in a dramatic location on the coast of the Arabian sea. In the evening, join the Somnath Aarti and Light & Sound Show which gives an account of the soft power history of the temple. Overnight stay in Somnath.
When it is time to get ready to start the day, morning darshan at Somnath Jyotirlinga, in a calmer and more intimate temple atmosphere. Have breakfast and then begin the trip back to Ahmedabad. The drive gives time to contemplate the spiritual experiences so far gone through as one goes through the countryside of Gujarat. By evening come to Ahmedabad and take up in the hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure or optional local shopping. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
