Itinerary

Take the plane or the train to Chandigarh railway station or airport, a guide will help you. Drive comfortably to Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. The highway goes through green hills, pine trees and fresh mountain air. Experience the silence when you get out of the city. Arrive at Shimla and stay at your hotel and rest after the drive. The chilly climate and the serene environment will revive you. During the evening one can stroll a bit or simply savor the tranquility of the mountain. Eat dinner in the hotel and retire to sleep in Shimla.

 

And after breakfast begin a leisurely sightseeing stroll of Shimla. Visit Mall road, a famous place with small shops and cafes where one can take a leisurely walk. Visit The Ridge to get a good view of the other mountains. Go to a visit to the old colonial Christ Church which is serene. Afterwards, visit Jakhoo Temple which is a hilltop temple with greenery. It has beautiful scenery and a serene atmosphere. You will have to take your time and enjoy every place. Spend the evening at the hotel, rest, dine and spend the night in Shimla.

 

Breakfast and drive to Kufri, a small hill station and open meadows and natural beauty. During winter there can be snow, otherwise the place is green and fresh. Uninterrupted time with views of mountains and photos. Then continue to Manali. The drive depicts valleys, high mountains and rivers. The journey is pleasant due to the quietness of the scenery. On reaching Manali, check in your hotel and have some sleep after the arduous drive. Dine at the hotel and spend the night at Manali.

 

Breakfast and spend a day in Manali at a relaxed leisurely pace. Visit Hadimba Temple which has tall cedar trees and natural beauty. It is a peaceful place. The second stop is Vashisht Temple that has natural hot springs and a peaceful environment. Then take a rest by the Beas River, and hear the running water, and breathe the scent of the mountains. The rest of the day is free. You can idle at the hotel, or have a little walk about in the local market. Spend the night and dinner in Manali.

 

Drive to Solang Valley, a broad valley, with mountains on both sides of the valley, after breakfast. Depending on the time of the year, there can be snow or rich green fields. It is an excellent destination to have fun with nature and capture beautiful photographs. Adventure activities are not compulsory. Afterwards to Naggar, a quiet village with an old castle and beautiful views of the valley. The village is peaceful and serene, not crowded. Take some time and relax in the region and then go back to Manali in the evening. Dine out at the hotel and spend the night at Manali.

 

Morning drive to Manikaran which is a holy and relaxing location with hot springs. Go to the Gurudwara and other temples around the place where you can pray and relax. The natural environment contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. Along the route is a visit to the Kullu Valley, a green spot that is characterized by the sight of rivers and hand crafts. Visit local shops and look at conventional things. Have a scenic ride along mountains and rivers. In the evening go back to your hotel in Manali. Eat supper and take a rest.

 

Have breakfast and then leave the hotel and begin the journey back to Chandigarh. There are again beautiful sceneries of mountains, valleys and rivers along the road. Take the time to relax and enjoy the ride back home when you recount the relaxing experiences in Himachal Pradesh. The drive is nice and invigorating with the cool breeze and beautiful views.
